27 days from door to door, until I personally could and had to get the item at a german customs department 40 kilometers away, 80 kilometers including return home. I had to take a day off to get the item. The sender had not made a proper declaration on the outside of the exported parcel, so customs at Frankfurt Main Airport catched the parcel out. Many many unnecessary work, additional costs of VAT and a lot of burned diesel. Those, who want to buy this case for delivery to Germany: think twice, possibly another seller of the same case may send more precise declarations documents....... Sonin the moment, I cannot recommend this store. The case is OK, but not the shipping. Seller did not react within 24 hours to emailed inquiries. If you want to order here, calculate 2 - 30 US Dollars extra for custom fees and driving to customs office.

My drive is a 2TB SSD (PNY XLR8 CS3030 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe). My computer is a Mac m1 mini with 16GB ram. Speed tests are as expected both read and write in the 2,xxx range. AmorphousDiskMark always reported max writes of around XX. I do not believe that is correct and might be a bug, I could not get it to go much faster no matter what settings I tried. My other tests were much faster as shown in images, I even compared copying 20gb+ of large files manually from the internal m1 mini SSD to the thunderbolt SSD. 20GB write would take about 10 seconds which would be 2,xxx as gotten in the speed tests in other software as shown. The enclosure does run quite hot, and I have it paired with silicon and copper thermal transfer material on both sides of the nvme SSD, so that it is able to transfer the heat that way as expected to keep it from overheating. Also happened to have a heatsink laying around and attached that too as shown with their included red rubber band and thermal glue.

Installed an Adata SSD Adata Flash SX8200 Pro - 2 TB. So far seems to work fine. Black Magic program indicates about 1500 MB Write and 2000 MB Read with thunderbolt 3 cable to thunderbolt 3 connection on 2020 Macbook Pro. Enclosure kit comes with enclosure, tiny Thunderbolt 3 cable and a longer Thunderbolt 3 cable. Some thermal pads, a little screwdriver. Red rubber band not used.

For twice the shipment wasn’t picked up from the warehouse. They reshipped twice and finally it arrived. Apart from the annoying shipping incidences, the product itself is of very good quality and I really like the design.

After my initial order didn’t get picked up from the warehouse, I cancelled and reordered this enclosure. I put a 2tb Samsung Evo Plus drive in and was disappointed when I got 26xx MB/s read but only around 10xxMB/s writes according to Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on my Mac Mini 2018. I took the drive out and stuck some kapton tape on the board underneath where the nvme drive will sit and then reseated the drive making sure that the drive had been fully pushed into the connector and then put it back together. Now when doing the speed test, I’m getting 26xx MB/s read and 28xx MB/s writes. Very pleased with this enclosure.
